Every Quarter, one nurse from each office is recognized for being extraordinary. These nurses show exemplary qualities and professionalism.Lakewood: Rachel Amarh, LPN: Congratulations on being chosen as the Lakewood Star Nurse of the quarter! We first met Rachel when she participated in our orientation session at Ocean County Vocational Technical School in 2018. Rachel came to Star as soon as she passed her NCLEX. We are happy to have her here and wish her many more wonderful years her in Lakewood.
Mount Laurel: Alexandra Penta, LPN Alexandra has been a nurse at Star Pediatrics since June 2018. She has worked with several of our patients but her main patient is who has benefited the most with Alexandra’s care. We are very impressed with the care Alexandra provides to her patient. She always talks to him even knowing he is unable to communicate. and is very diligent with his care and ensures all of his treatments are performed well and in a timely manner. She arrives to her shifts on time and commits to the shifts she is scheduled for. She is also a great help to every nurse she orients so they can also provide the best care for her patient.
Saddle Brook: Ann Naluwu, LPN Ann is an outstanding nurse with a willing a gracious sprit. Loved by the coordinators, peers and especially parents, Ann has an outstanding bedside manner and a reassuring disposition. Ann is the type of nurse that is always willing to help, is punctual, responsive, responsible and professional. We feel very fortunate to have her as a part of the team and want to congratulate her on an award well deserved. Congratulations on your award!

Saddle Brook: Soonyi Choi, RN: Soonyi has been with Star for many years and is loved by her clients and coworkers alike. She has great nursing skills and applies them with love and care to her patients and is excellent with the families for those with whom she works. She is consistent, reliable, has excellent communication skills and she never calls out. Thank you Soonyi, and congratulations for being selected as this quarters GEM!
Mount Laurel: Heather Brophy, RN: Heather was chosen because of her caring personality and genuine love for nursing. Star Pediatrics is lucky to have nurses with such passion for pediatric nursing. Heather came to us as a new graduate nurse almost a year ago and has consistently maintains a professional persona with our patients, their families and office staff. Heather works with several patients and is loved by all the families that she works with. She is very thorough, updates managers, and goes over and beyond to provide the best nursing services to her patients. Thank you, Heather for the dedicated, excellent nursing care that you provide to our patients.
Lakewood: Brenda Mayo, LPN: Congratulations to our Star Nurse of the Quarter! Brenda is an experienced LPN and has been at Star Lakewood for 3.5 years. Brenda has worked with the same client since joining Star and has become part of the family. Thank you for your dedication Brenda!

Lakewood: Jessica Alvarez, LPN. Congratulations to LPN Jessica Alvarez, OUR GEM OF THE QUARTER! Jessica is an amazing nurse who is dedicated to her clients and Star. She has a wonderful hands on approach and adapts to her client’s specific needs with compassion. We are please to award her this honor and wish her many happy years here at Star Lakewood.
Mount Laurel: Kimberli Taylor, LPN. Kimberli Taylor, LPN as Nurse of The Quarter. Kimberli was chosen because of her stellar record with Star Pediatrics since she came to us as a new graduate nurse in 2016. Kimberli has consistently received good evaluations and positive feedback from patient’s family. Although Kimberli has oriented and worked with several patients, it’s her permanent patient that has benefitted the most from Kimberli’s wonderful bedside manor, nursing skills and dedicated care.
Saddle Brook: Jawana Johnson, LPN. Jawana has made an impact everywhere she goes. She is very flexible and a go to nurse. She picks up shifts along with working her regular schedule and the parents and patients love her. After going through vent training here at Star, she has worked nothing but vent cases. She has a calm demeanor and a Can-Do attitude. Her nursing skills are as excellent as her people skills. We are proud to present Jawana with the GEM of the quarter honor. Congratulations on your award!!

Saddle Brook: Stephanie Crespo, LPN. Loved by clients, parents and staff, Stephanie has a warm personality and caring disposition. Stephanie is reliable, punctual and has excellent nursing skills. She is always available to go above and beyond by picking up shifts and helping out when staffing is in a tough position. Her dedication and professionalism makes her star shine bright and is the reason she is this quarters GEM. Congrats Stephanie.
Mount Laurel: Danielle Costanzo, LPN. Danielle is a stellar employee of Star Pediatrics. She has excellent attendance and reliability, very flexible and works various shifts. Clinical Management team is very impressed with Danielle’s Clinical judgment. Danielle is very professional and respectful to her peers and is well liked by the patient families. Danielle goes above and beyond for her patients and is a true GEM in every sense.
Lakewood: Olga Kuzmitski, RN. Olga has been a Star Nurse since March, 2015. Olga began working with Star as an LPN and recently became an RN. Her amazing skills and dedication to her clients is valued by all her peers. Olga is always helpful in opening cases and makes herself available whenever she is needed. Thank you Olga, for your dedication and congratulations on your Award!

Teaneck: Natasha Naysmith, RN. Natasha has been with Star for 10 years this October. Known in the office as a go to nurse, Natasha has consistently and lovingly worked with highly acute patients during the night shift. Her confidence, knowledge and personable touch reassure parents that their children are in good hands. Thank you, Natasha for your consistency and loyalty throughout the years. Mount Laurel: Tiffany Hill, LPN. Tiffany began her nursing career with Star and has been an exemplary employee for 2.5 years. Along with her work schedule, she is in the final phase of an RN Program and will graduate with her RN Degree in 2019. Tiffany attended advanced classes at Star to work with trach and ventilator dependent children and has provided excellent care at all skill levels. Tiffany is neat, organized, very personable and detailed in her documentation. Tiffany has great communication with our clinical team. Thank you Tiffany! Congratulations!!
Lakewood: Crystal Gallegos, RN. Crystal joined our team April 2017 and has consistently provided “top notch” care to her overnight clients. Crystal goes out of her way and is always available to fill in shifts when she is needed to provide competent and nurturing care to the patients and their families. Thank you, Crystal for your loyalty, commitment and flexibility. Congratulations for being selected Lakewood’s GEM Award recipient!
